Three questions asked at the bench
For a footstool or a loose cushion, yes, because the fit depends on the frame and the fill rather than on a photograph. For a built-in bench or a large sofa, a set of measurements and clear photographs will do for an estimate, and we confirm the numbers at the first fitting visit.
Yes. We ask for a cutting from the roll so the pattern repeat and the pile direction can be checked before we cut, and we will say plainly if the cloth is too light for the seat it is meant to cover. Client fabric is inspected on arrival and noted on the job card.
A tufted footstool runs two to three loft days once the fabric is on hand. A bench seat reupholstery runs three to five days, depending on the deck work. Heirloom repairs are handled on the monthly repair night and may stay on the bench for a second evening if the frame needs clamping time.
